Currently, Borden is Assistant Professor of Trumpet at the University of Delaware, following her prior appointment at SUNY Potsdam. Her students are frequently selected to compete at the National Trumpet Competition and receive scholarships to the International Trumpet Guild Conference. Former students of Borden’s have sought out graduate degrees at esteemed institutions including the Eastman School of Music, Arizona State University, UMKC, and the Longy School of Music. She is equally as proud of the many students that have graduated and are now teaching in public schools around the country and educating future musicians.

She further embodies her commitment to musicians’ wellness as Co-Owner and CEO of Yoga for All Musicians, a virtual studio promoting physical sustainability and mental well-being for performers.
